The Native American city of Acoma was one of the first cities established in America!  Historians say the Acoma pueblos outdate the Pilgrim settlements by at least 450 years!

     This extraordinary work of art is located in New Mexico.  To be exact, 40 minutes from Grant, New Mexico.  The city is built in a cliff about 367 ft. above the valley, which is approximately 7,000 ft. above sea level.  Archaeologists have found evidence of inhabitants as early as 700 A.D.  They believe it has been inhabitated at least from 1150 A.D. to the present!  The region is known as the Great Plains.
