The word deflowering has two definitions in the dictionary, but the one that describes my version of the word best is, "to deprive of virginity."  This word originated about the 14th century.  I think the poet used this word in the poem because of the unholy act of deflowering that went on during the spanish conquest.
     The spaniards, that were supposed to be sooo holy, would pluck the woman from their families and rape them.  Malinche was raped by Cortes, a spanish conquistador. That is a perfect example of deflowering.
