The tribe of Sitting Bull
The Sioux Indians were the tribe that Sitting Bull grew up with, hunted with and came to lead them throughout life. When he was just a young child name "Jumping Badger," he would wrestle, race and hunt birds with the other children of the tribe. They competed for pride, excercise and just plain fun! When he got older, he would hunt with the best of the Sioux leaders, including his own father, Brave Bull. As he grew older and stronger, he himself, became one of the best buffalo hunters in the tribe. When he was too old to hunt, he became the leader of the whole civalization! He was the first to be named the leader of all the Sioux. He was a great leader, too! He was respected by every tribe that knew him, including the Apache, who respected few.
