Martha's First Marriage

Martha first married Daniel Parke Custis, a young gentlemen from Virginia. They first met when Martha was seventeen, at Governor Gooche's grand ball. He fell in love with her as soon as they met. He was charmed by her apperence and witts.

The couple got married in Virginia and went to live in the White House after a year of "courting". Martha's parents and siblings really liked him when ever they met. Her parents thought that they were a perfict couple.
