As
a young girl, La Malinche (Other wise known as Malini or Malintzin)
was a princess in one of the smaller parts of the Aztec Empire.Her
father sold her as a slave to some traders who sold her to someone else.
She ended up living in the Myan region of present day Mexico. There she
learned their language.
When the Spaniards arrived in their village,
she was given tho them as a gift. One of the men (Gonzalo) had lived
with a group of Myans and he knew how to speek Myan and Spanish.
Cortez didn't need to use Gonzalo any more. He went on to conquer the entire
Aztec Empire.La Malinche helped by being his translator.
She later on ended up marrying him and having two of his children.
She is now frowned upon by most people in Mexico for helping distroy the
Aztec and Myan empires.
