Laura was a teenager when she started teaching at the school in Perry but before she needed to have a teacher's examination.  At the end of the examination, the teacher corrected her paper and she passed.  On the paper she got a "Second Grade" which means she passed.  She is getting paid twenty-five dollars for three months.  When the little school house was built, she started teaching in April.  She is going to teach for three months; April, May, and June.  She taught three pupils in the school in Perry.
