Thomas moved to Port Huron, Michigan at age 7. He tried schooling there and the teachers thought he was a nucence. He asked so many questions that we was continually punished. His mother got so upset at the teachers behavior that she decided to teach him at home. He had made one friend however, and they did many experiments together.
