Plains Indians: Plains Indians often looked for spiritual power. They would usually fing it through dreams, visions, sacred objects, and songs. Whether they actually gained spiritual power I don't know. The Ogalala Sioux called this special power the wakan.
The Plains Indians have an important ritual that takes place every year. It is called the Sun Dance. It is a four day religious festival with singers, drummers, dancers, and just plain people who gather together to seek a quest and spiritual guidence.
